Bid Me Bald - Team Challenge 2024
The Relay Rockers  challenge ALL teams to join us in a Bid Me Bald Team Event Challenge.Â
From April 5th through April 14th the Relay Rockers will place Kiosks on the Boardwalk in Arinultra Cay for each participating team. At the close of the ‘Bidding’ at 4:30pm April 14th the Kiosks will be totaled and the Challenge Winners will Shave the Heads of the team with the lowest total.Â
Bid Me Bald is the signature fundraising event of the Relay Rockers and Celebrates survivors. Those who hear the words ‘You have cancer’ have little choice when it comes to hair loss. We can choose and we do so in solidarity with our honored survivors.
KIOSKS
Only the official kiosks, placed by the Relay Rockers avatar will be used to determine the team to go bald.
Official Multi Team Kiosks will be configured for a 50/50 split with the Relay Rockers
Teams which fail to raise at least L$1,000 in their kiosk will be removed before the final accounting and will not be considered for haircuts.

DATES
Kiosks will be placed out at 5:00pm slt Friday, April 5th and opened for donations
Kiosks will be closed for donations at 4:30pm slt Sunday, April 14, 2024
Participating teams will be required to be at the closing of the Team Challenge
HAIRCUTS
The team with the highest total in their kiosk will be given the Bid Me Bald scissors to cut the hair of the team which has the least amount of donations in their kiosk.Â
The team will be bald until 4:30pm slt on the opening day of RelayStock on May 10.
HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS
- Competition is open to all registered Relay For Life of Second Life teams
- Teams will be provided with signage, “fill in the blank” notecard invitations and landmarks
- Teams are expected to reach out to non-relayers, groups, etc and encourage/ invite individuals to donate to their team kiosk during the challenge time.
- The event is administered by the Relay Rockers and kiosks for each participating team will be placed by the Rockers at Arinultra Cay region.
- Bidding opens at 5pm slt, Friday, April 4, 2024
- Bidding closes at 4:30pm slt, Sunday, April 14
- Donations are encouraged April 4 – 14th
- Number Of Days Bald –Â The team with the lowest total in their kiosk will be bald until 10:00am slt on the opening day of RelayStock on May 10.
- Participating teams will be required to be present at the end of the challenge on Sunday, April 14 in the event they are to give or receive a haircut. If you are on the team receiving the haircuts, but not able to be present, you still are required to be bald along with all your teammates.
